With over 27 years expertise in CAM
development and applications, SolidCAM started out as a fully
integrated CAD/CAM system. After many years of successful
development, the founder, Dr. Emil Somekh, realized it was more
efficient to focus on developing an integrated CAM system for
SolidWorks and thus leverage all the power of the company to
develop the CAM functionality and use the great import and CAD
power of SolidWorks.
3D mechanical design software, SolidCAM, is an
integrated CAM engine for SolidWorks that supports 2.5D/3D milling,
multisided indexical 4/5-axis milling, simultaneous 5-axes milling,
turning, turn-mill and wireEDM. SolidCAM provides seamless,
single-window integration and full associativity to the SolidWorks
design model, including parts, assemblies and configurations. It
offers major enhancements in 3D CAD software, CAM functionality,
and CNC rapid prototyping, spanning most of the range of CAM
modules in SolidCAM.

Tool paths update when part
changes.
- Use feature tree for picking features.
- Powerful and mature simultaneous 5 axes.
- Advanced mill-turn up to 7 axes.
- Automatic feature recognition for locating and selecting holes
and pockets.
- High speed machining for optimized tool paths.
- High speed surface machining for undercuts and single surface
constraint.
- Real-time life-like simulations

For more than a decade,
thousands of customers worldwide have relied on the performance of
innovative CNC rapid prototyping solutions provided by SolidCAM.
The hallmarks of SolidCAM are its ease-of-use combined with its
powerful CAM functionality and customized postprocessors that
generate ready-to-go CNC-code. Since SolidCAM was designed with the
needs of shop floor personnel in mind, our instructors only require
a short training period to show skilled workers and machine
operators how to turn designs into actual parts, faster and easier
than they could with competitor's products. SolidCAM is widely used
in Mechanical Manufacturing, Automotive and Aerospace industries,
Electronics, Mold&Die shops and CNC Rapid Prototyping.
