2.5D Milling

Description:
The goal of this course is to teach students how to use SolidCAM to machine various parts using 2.5D Milling technologies.

Duration:
2 days

Prerequisites:
SolidWorks Fundamentals
Students must be familiar with CNC machining and technology.

Topics:
This course covers the basic concepts of SolidCAM for 2 ½ axis machining and 4th and 5th axis positioning.

3D Milling

Description:
The goal of this course is to teach students how to use SolidCAM to machine various parts using 3D Milling technologies.

Duration:
1 Day (added to the 2-day 2.5D milling class = 3 day total)

Prerequisites:
The course must be preceded by the SolidCAM 2.5D Milling Training Course, in which the basic concepts of the SolidCAM software are discussed.

Topics:
This course covers the basic concepts of SolidCAM 3 axis simultaneous machining

Simultaneous 5 Axis Machining

Description:
The goal of this course is to teach students to use SolidCAM to machine various parts using Simultaneous 5 axis machining technologies.

Duration:
Varies based on user experience

Prerequisites:
The course has to be preceded by the SolidCAM 2.5D Milling Training Course

Topics:
This course covers the basic concepts of SolidCAM for 5 axis machining strategies, including swarfing and trimming, for machining of complex geometry parts such as mold cores and cavities, aerospace parts, cutting tools, cylinder heads, turbine blades and impellers.

Turning

Description:
The goal of this course is to teach you how to use SolidCAM to machine various parts using Turning technologies.

1 Day

SolidWorks Fundamentals
