SOLIDWORKS Electrical introduces new features in 2020. Every year SOLIDWORKS introduces new features based on customer’s feedback. These give the user more control and customization to their electrical projects. Check out these new features I highlighted for you below!
User Right Management
Save time and avoid costly mistakes with the new features of SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2020. One of the new features is the ability to keep your data secure and accurate with users Rights Management. Electrical users and groups can now be assigned gradient permission levels which allow the user to view or modify electrical projects.
SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2020 now allows the user more customization to schematic reports. The customization includes increased text height to column headings and the addition of row numbers to the report items. Increasing text height allows the report to be read easier when handed off to other departments or part suppliers. The inclusion of row number to line items was not possible in the earlier releases of Electrical Schematics and can now be done with a click of a button. Adding row numbers to line items provides the user more options to filter and sort reports numerically to prevent potential errors.
Leader Lines are a common tool used to identified line items from reports, but were a limitation in previous versions of Electrical Schematics. Not anymore. Now SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2020 gives users the option to use leader lines from the leader style manager to define line items from the report.
The new SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2020 enhancements help the user greatly by reducing the time that was previously required in the manual process. I hope you enjoy these new features as much as I do. Please continue to check back for more of our upcoming blogs.
